Bay Area groups react to Komen decision to pull breast-screening funds - San Jose Mercury News
The nation's largest and most widely recognized breast cancer advocacy organization faced a rolling avalanche of criticism and major revolt within its own ranks Thursday after a decision to eliminate all funding to Planned Parenthood.
The decision by the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation to halt grants totaling $680,000 last year -- used by 19 Planned Parenthood affiliates across the nation for breast exams -- has stirred debate across country since it was announced two days ago. -
'Gasland' Journalists Arrested At Hearing By Order Of House Republicans (UPDATES)
WASHINGTON -- In a stunning break with First Amendment policy, House Republicans directed Capitol Hill police to detain a highly regarded documentary crew that was attempting to film a Wednesday hearing on a controversial natural gas procurement practice. Initial reports from sources suggested that an ABC News camera was also prevented from taping the hearing; ABC has since denied that they sent a crew to the hearing.

Subject: Windows Usability Systematic degradation flame
I am quite disappointed al how Windows Usability has been going backwards and the program management
groups don’/drive usability issues.
Let me give you my experience from yesterday.
I decided to download Moviemake and buy the Digital Plus pack r so I went to Microsoft.com. They have a
download place so I went there.
The first 5 times I used the site it timed out whiJe trying to bring up the download page. Then after an 8 second
delay I got it to come up
This site is so slow it is unusable.
It wasn"c in the top 5 so I expanded the other 45.
These 45 names are totally confusing. These names make stuff like: C:\Doouments and Settings\billgWly
Docurnents~/ly Pictures seem clear,
They are not filtered by the system I can in on and so many of the things are strange.
I tded scoping to Media stuff. Still no moviemaker. I typed in mowemaker. Nothing. I typed in movie maker. -

Facebook's days of hypergrowth may be over | Rafe's Radar - CNET News
It's in character for the CEO: An odd mix of arrogant and humble.
But realistic? To think that Facebook is a fledgling is pushing it. Even if it is true that, barring catastrophe, Facebook should still be able to grow nicely for quite a while.
Facebook is solid. As I wrote out shortly before the company filed its papers to go public (Three killer reasons Facebook's IPO could be worth $100 billion), it is built on a tripod of unmatched strengths: A ton of users (reach) who access the site a lot and for long periods (dwell) and who would find it hard to leave even if they wanted to (lock-in). -
Why Nigerians are no longer content with 'suffering and smiling' - CNN.com
Editor's note: Tolu Ogunlesi works as an arts projects manager and freelance journalist in Lagos, Nigeria. In 2009 he was awarded the Arts and Culture prize in the annual CNN Multichoice African Journalism Awards, as well as shortlisted for the inaugural PEN/Studzinski literary prize.
Lagos, Nigeria (CNN) -- If North Korea is the crying capital of the world, Nigeria holds the aces when it comes to smiling and laughing. It's not simply anecdotal evidence.
